My session with Devenne was my first time doing reiki, and I was expecting to have a very relaxing healing session, but what happened was a lot more spiritually, emotionally and physically fulfilling than what I could have ever imagined. Before the session, Devenne immediately made me feel extremely safe and created an environment that allowed me to surrender to the experience. I deal with physical issues that sometimes make it hard for me to open up or relax, but Devenne was so understanding and accommodating. It is important when doing this kind of healing work to feel at ease and not judged, and Devenne was so comforting and sweet. I did not expect to immediately feel the effects of the reiki during the session, but as soon as the session started I felt an emotional release that had been pent up for a really long time. The relief of letting out those emotions immediately had a physical effect, as I began to feel lighter and more comfortable in my own body. I was led to reflecting on things I did not even know were causing me to shut myself down, and slowly, over the course of the session, confront them and forgive myself for the pain I had been causing myself for so long. During all this time I was able to not exactly forget about the outside world, but feel comfortable in this space because I felt as though for this temporary experience, Devenne was my protector and was placing a shield around me. Before my session, I had been suffering from chronic headaches and insomnia. The session allowed me to relax and release some of the pent up tension that was exacerbating my physical problems, and in the days following have had less headaches and been able to have a deeper sleep as well. I will definitely be scheduling more reiki sessions in the future as I believe it can have incalculable positive benefits for not only my mental health, but my physical health as well as my relationships with the people around me. — J.L.

“Spirituality, Reiki, and wellness practices overall were only very recently introduced to me by Devenne. She made me ask serious questions about relationships with people and concepts that have been distorted for years.
